The Universities Pool Council is delighted to announce full details of the reunion pool event being held to commemorate our 10th anniversary.
The event will take place at the fantastic "Club 147" in Leicester city-centre on Saturday, 8 June. Doors open at 9:30am, with play beginning at 10am SHARP. Much like the five-year event, the emphasis will very much be on a sociable day's pool followed by a sociable night's drinking!
Players will pay a single, per-person entry fee which will include entry into various pool-based competitions and games. These will include a double-elimination singles competition, a double-elimination "suicide pairs" competition, 10-Ball Crash and Speed Pool. Both double-elimination competitions will include 8-ball and 9-ball pool.
Advance entries have now closed. There will be a maximum of SEVENTEEN places available for players to enter between the times of 9:30am and 9:45am on the morning of the event, at the rate of £15 per person and on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. No further entries will be accepted after 9:45am.
For those that would like overnight accommodation, we are also pleased to announce a deal with the nearby Campanile Hotel. Telephone (0116) 261 6600 quoting "Club 147" and you will be able to book a double or twin room at the rate of £45 per room, per night. (It is by no means a condition of entry that players have to stay at the hotel – you are free to book alternative accommodation or to "commute" to Leicester and back on the day of the event.)
Finally, we hope to be able to offer queue-jump and free entry into a Leicester city-centre nightclub on the evening of Saturday, 8 June. Full details will be posted when we have a better idea of numbers.

Club 147 is located on the second floor at number 171 Belgrave Gate, Leicester, LE1 3HS. The entrance to the club is actually via Wilton Street though, post-code LE1 3NP. Free-of-charge car-parking is extremely limited. The nearest chargeable car-park can be found on Lee Street/Lee Circle, post-code LE1 3RE.
The Campanile Hotel can be found at number 1 Bedford Street North, off St. Matthew's Way, Leicester, LE1 3JE. The hotel has a limited amount of car-parking spaces available free of charge for patrons on a first-come, first-served basis.
