BUCS-UPC Snooker Championships 2023-24

The UPC is pleased to release all the entry information in relation to this season’s BUCS-UPC Snooker Championships, which will be held, once again, at the Woking Snooker Centre! The finest student players from all parts of the UK will convene over the weekend of 14th to 17th March 2024 to compete in both team and individual competitions on behalf of their universities.

Individual Competitions:  14 – 16 March 2024
Team Competitions:  15 – 17 March 2024
Teams are made up of a maximum of six players, five of which play in a match

Composite Entry Fee: £37.50 per person
(covers both team and individual entry, accommodation will not be provided)

Deadline for entries: Players have until 23:59 on Tuesday 20th February to enter the event on BUCS Play, following which AUs/SUs/Sports Offices will have until 23:59 on Thursday 22nd February to approve their institution’s entries. There will be no extensions to these deadlines, so please make sure you have everything ready in time, including contacting your AU/SU/Sports Office in advance to make sure there will be someone with access to BUCS Play available to authorise your entries.

Thanks to the support of the venue and the players themselves, we have been able to increase the cap to a maximum of 32 teams season. Preference will be given to first teams, then second teams, etc, then to institutions highest in the competition rankings. Please share this post so that all interested individuals are aware and can organise their team and individual entry.


We are delighted to be affiliated with the English Partnership for Snooker & Billiards (EPSB).

We will also be supported at the event by Snookerz. Snookerz promotes and supports grass roots snooker by running tournaments at the Woking Snooker Centre in Surrey, as well as providing sponsorship to leading amateur players in the game: Please follow them at @CueSurrey.

Men’s teams are made up of a maximum of six players, five of which play in a match. Women’s teams are made up of a maximum of four players, three of which play in a match.

UPC Irish Intervarsities Pool Championships 2023-24, partnered with Ultimate Pool

The UPC are pleased to release the information for this season’s UPC Irish Intervarsity Pool Championships, to be staged at the excellent Antrim Sports Club!

UPC Irish Intervarsities Championships 2023-24

Individual Competitions:  9 – 10 February 2024
Team Competitions:  9 – 11 February 2024
Teams are made up of a maximum of six players, five of which play in a match

Composite Entry Fee: The entry fee per person will be €40.00 per player for institutions in the Republic of Ireland, or £35.00 per player for institutions in Northern Ireland. All entry fees must be paid before play commences on 9th February 2024. There will be no exceptions to this where those players will be refused to play at the event until all entry fees have been settled.
