The UPC is pleased to release all the entry information in relation to this season’s BUCS-UPC Snooker Championships, which returns to the world class Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds! The finest student players from all parts of the UK will convene over the weekend of 12th to 15th March 2026 to compete in both team and individual competitions on behalf of their universities.

Teams are made up of a maximum of six players, five of which play in a match
Composite Entry Fee: £37.50 per person

Competition Regulations – Updated 15th February 2026. Only the Regulations A.General 4(c) and (d) regarding Team Details Forms have been amended since the previous publishing of these competition regulations(PDF)
Deadline for entries: Players have until 23:59 on Tuesday 17th February to enter the event on BUCS Play, following which AUs/SUs/Sports Offices will have until 23:59 on Thursday 19th February to approve their institution’s entries. Subsequently, Team Details Forms will need to be provided to the Tournament Director by Sunday 22nd February 23:59. There will be no extensions to these deadlines, so please make sure you have everything ready in time, including contacting your AU/SU/Sports Office in advance to make sure there will be someone with access to BUCS Play available to authorise your entries.

Thanks to the support of Northern Snooker Centre and the players themselves, we have been able to maintain the cap to a maximum of 32 teams. Preference will be given to first teams, then second teams, etc, then to institutions highest in the competition rankings. Please share this post so that all interested individuals are aware and can organise their team and individual entry.
