The UPC are pleased to release all the entry information in relation to this season's BUCS-UPC Eight-ball Pool Championships, to be staged in Vauxhall Holiday Park, Great Yarmouth. The finest student players from all parts of the UK will convene over the weekend of 19th-22nd February to compete in both team and individual competitions on behalf of their universities, at the country’s most prestigious English eight-ball pool arena, where many of the top mainstream pool events are held throughout the season. Exeter will be looking to defend their title in the men’s team Championship, however with last year’s winner Richard Wharton (Anglia Ruskin) no longer studying, the Men’s Individual Championship will be wide open. Likewise, Nottingham and Sophie Gibbs-Nicholls (formerly Marjon, now studying at Cardiff Met) will be looking to retain their titles in the Women’s Team and Individual Championships respectively.

Entries received after the closing date may be accepted subject to the availability of places for up to one week but such entries will incur a late entry surcharge of £5.00 per person.

As mentioned, the popular Speed Pool Team Relay side-event will once again make a return, however this season will be dedicated to the memory of Steve Hughes, a much loved founding member of the University of Sheffield Pool and Snooker Club, who sadly passed away last year at the age of 23 from a rare heart condition.
