The weekend of 25-26 April 2014 sees the culmination of the university pool season as the Student Eight-ball Pool Home Internationals descends on Dublin. Northern Ireland Students, under the guidance of manager Pearse Sharratt and captain Ryan Birt (Ulster), will be the team to beat as they attempt to retain their title in the face of fierce competition from their British Isles counterparts.
The Student Home Internationals brings together the finest players currently playing pool in, and studying at, UK and Ireland universities. The students form national representative teams, based upon their country of study, from England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, to compete in both team and individual competition.

Student Home Internationals – Tournament Draws
Please note, the event commences on Friday, 25th April 2014, at 11am, at which time player accreditation will take place for ALL teams. The tournament venue will be open for practice and team photographs for teams that have registered in full ONLY.

National Teams Unveiled
After the recent trials the UPC are delighted to announce that the players representing their country of study at the forthcoming Student Eight-ball Pool Home Internationals (SHIs) held in Dublin on 25-26 April 2014. This event will incorporate the BUCS Home Nations. The teams chosen by the HESPC Board to represent students from Ireland and Northern Ireland at the SHIs have also been selected.
