The university pool season commences with the BUCS-UPC Nine-ball Pool Championships. For the first time in it’s history this long-running event is BUCS sanctioned, which has no doubt helped us to the biggest ever field of competitors; 194 players forming 58 teams from 27 institutions. This year the tournament will be held across the excellent facilities at both Rileys Birmingham and Rileys Solihull. Defending champions Ulster University will be returning, aiming to retain their silverware, however they will face stiff competition from a variety of angles. Edward Poultney will be lookign to retain his Individual Championship, but he will not have the luxury of knowing his route to the final as the exciting live random draw from the last-32 onwards remains. However, the live draw has been tweaked slightly, such that seeded players who win their matches will retain their position in the draw.

NOTES
The top two 1st teams in each double-elimination group shall qualify for the Championship play-offs, with the next highest placed team qualifying for the Trophy play-offs.

Registration times for each match are given per section on the right of the above documents. This is the earliest a match may be called in that section. If you fail to register at this time you will be scratched from the draw.
INDIVIDUAL VENUE ALLOCATIONS
Please note that there are TWO PAGES to the above Individual Draw document – one for matches at Rileys Birmingham and one for matches at Rileys Solihull. Players will not be required to change venue on Thursday.
Players MUST attend the correct venue – there will be no grace given to players not at the correct venue at the time of their match.
Friday and Saturday
All Individual matches on Friday and Saturday will be held at Rileys Birmingham. Players who have their team games at Solihull on either of these days will be given at least one hour to travel to Birmingham for their matches in the Individual Championship.
NOTES
Subsequent rounds (Last 32 onwards) will be drawn at random, in a live open draw with seeds who win their matches retaining their position in the draw.
