The UPC are pleased to release the entry information for this season’s UPC Irish Intervarsity Pool Championships, to be staged at the excellent Abbey Court Hotel and Spa in Nenagh, County Tiperary, Ireland.
UPC Irish Intervarsity Pool Championships: Nenagh
Date: 24-26 January 2020.
Venue: Abbey Court Hotel and Spa, Nenagh, County Tiperary.
Closing date for entries: 17:00, Friday 17th January, 2020
These dates will be strictly adhered to. There is NO late entry period for this event.
Team Size: Teams are made up of six players with five playing in a match, there will be no in match substitutions. You do not need to name six in a team, if you wish you may name only five players.
Entry Fees:
€50.00 per person (covers both team and individual entry)
€115.00 per person accommodation in the tournament hotel (covering both Friday and Saturday night including breakfast)
Institutions with ALL players staying in the tournament hotel will receive a €50.00 discount per team.
Players may also choose to stay in the hotel on Thursday night. If booked through the UPC, this will be at an additional cost of €57.50 per person.
Ladies Championship: This year we will aim to also host a ladies individual championship. This will be numbers dependent. Ladies will be able to enter the main Individual Championship as well as the Ladies Championship unless there are more than 31 ladies. In the event of 32 or more ladies entering there will be separate Men’s and Women’s Individual Championships.
Eligibility: All competitors must conform to Student Sport Ireland eligibility guidelines, which can be found here. There will be no exceptions.
Individual Championship/Trophy: All first team and unattached players are entered into the Individual Championships. Players from a non-first team will by default be entered into the Individual Trophy (providing there are sufficient numbers for the Trophy to proceed; if not all entries play at Championship level). All non-first team players should select either Championship/Trophy from the drop down menu.
